Amber is actualy an ancient tree resin, often called a gem stone.  It is believed to have soothing properties that aids in stress reduction, pain relief, and is believed to have anti-inflammatory properties.  It is also said to increase mood, improve concentration, and improve sleep.  It is used as an energetic healing stone.
