I’ve always had a love for antiques—the stories they carry, the craftsmanship, and the sense of history they bring into a space. When I launched Holly Oak Antiques & Gifts, I knew I wanted it to be more than just a place to find vintage treasures and painted furniture. I wanted it to feel personal, meaningful, and filled with items that spark joy and curiosity.

Along the way, I taught myself how to create stained glass, which quickly became a customer favorite. That success led me to expand into hand-poured soy candles, which are now a core part of the shop. From there, Holly Oak began to grow into something even more special—a curated collection of handcrafted goods that appeal to a wide range of people.

Today, the shop includes everything from handmade soaps and cloisonné ornaments to crystals, witch balls, and more. While not all of these pieces are locally made, each one is chosen for its quality, charm, and story. Take the witch balls, for example. Rooted in early European tradition, these colorful glass spheres were once hung in windows to ward off evil spirits. The web inside the ball was believed to trap the spirits before they could enter the home—a bit of folklore still honored in parts of New England today.

At the end of the day, Holly Oak Antiques & Gifts is about doing what I love and sharing it with others. When you’re passionate about something, it never really feels like work—it feels like fun.
